Robert "Mike" Phelps: Academy of Distinguished Engineers - 2000

A career employee of the Kiewit Pacific Company, Mike Phelps is now Vice President and Division Manager for Kiewit's Northern California and Phoenix District Offices. He has supervised construction in several western states, including the approaches to the I-205 bridge, the West Seattle Bridge, the third Lake Washington Floating Bridge, and structures and marine work in Hawaii. He oversees all operations in his division, including market development, estimating, bidding, and building of all work for highways, bridges, powerhouses, dams, and other major projects. Mr. Phelps is a founding and continuing member of the Civil Engineering Advisory Committee.
